After a 3 year hiatus, one of the UK’s most promising production forces Bondax are back and sounding as enticing as ever. Out today is their latest offering “Neo Seoul,” a soulful, funky and up-tempo club jam. The video which was shot while they were on tour in Seoul last year, is a charming piece of heavily affected, double exposed visual texture.
Speaking on the track, Bondax said:
“Neo Seoul is the most club-oriented track we’ve ever made – it stands alone in stark contrast to our album. The inspiration for the track is also a contrast in its own right – it was originally inspired by our memories of touring Asia, but the track truly came into being when we returned from a brief visit to Uganda."
Since bursting onto the scene in 2012 Bondax have long been championed by the likes of Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Nick Grimshaw, Zane Lowe and Mista Jam at Radio 1, as well as Lauren Laverne and Mary Anne Hobbs at 6 Music.
“Neo Seoul” comes as the Manchester-based duo announce their forthcoming debut album, which promises to be a perfect blend of live, analogue, electronic and orchestral sounds.
Bondax have also been focusing on their own Bondax Presents: Recur Podcast on MCR live. The monthly podcast features exclusive tracks, classics, special guests and the best of the city’s live music from the Manchester-based DJs. The first guests were Shy Luv, Maribou state and Jadu Heart. This month’s podcast which airs on February 18 features special guest Crayon.
