Ibiza’s boat party calendar will see a new addition when ‘Drop’ heads out on the Balearic waves on Monday 24th June for its debut event. This weekly boat party, presented by Pukka Up – whose renowned house and Ibiza classics Sunset Boats have sailed around the White Isle for the past 19 years – will see the highly skilled Hains and DJ Policy at the helm delivering the very best in R&B, garage, grime and hip hop classics; proving why they’re so popular at the likes of Kisstory and Sin Sundays at O Beach. As with anything Pukka Up puts its name to, guests can expect great value, with boat only tickets (€55) or a full club package (€75). This includes carry ons the following day at either Kisstory at O Beach, or Craig David at Ibiza Rocks Hotel. This new boat party experience is set to be a huge hit in Ibiza, offering something alternative to the classic dance parties the island is famed for.
Hains and DJ Policy are well established and highly skilled behind the decks. Hains has hosted and played at some of the world’s most renowned party venues including Drais Dubai, Ushuaia Ibiza, Fabric London and Fusion Factory USA to name a few. DJ Policy whose impressive career has been supported by the likes of Rampage, Steve Sutherland, DJ EZ, Heartless Crew, So Solid Crew and Tim Westwood, has also played for some of the biggest party brands including Gangstar, Kisstory, Ministry of Sound and many more.
Both Hains and DJ Policy will headline each week at ‘Drop’ as it sails from San Antonio Harbour from 4pm. Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary cocktail and two sangrias on board, then taken on a stunning trip around the Ibizan coastline with non-stop good vibesmaking the dancefloor bounce, before returning to shore at 7pm. The fun starts even earlier with a pre-party from 2pm at Rio in San Antonio to meet likeminded clubbers and take in panoramic views of the harbour.
On the ‘Drop’ music policy, Hains said: “It’s going to range from R&B and hip hop classics into current club hits for some sing-along-vibes. We’ll be celebrating the upbeat UK sound of old skool garage and funky house, making for a perfect boat party atmosphere.”
Guests will enjoy an unrivalled party experience, as they would find at any Pukka Up boat party around the world, but with a new musical twist. Pukka Up’s new owner and Managing Director, Joshua Makinson said:
“With me and Chris Wright now pushing the Pukka Up brand forward, it was important to identify emerging trends and develop our world-famous parties to accommodate different music genres. Under the ‘Drop’ brand, and working closely with Hains and Policy, we have curated an unbeatable alternative music experience, while staying true to the incredible parties Pukka Up is renowned for throwing, out at sea.”
The ticket packages available will mirror Pukka Up’s incomparable, great value party packages and can be purchased as a boat only, or full package option, which also includes the choice of either Kisstory at O Beach, or Craig David at Ibiza Rocks Hotel the following day, to carry on the party. All tickets are available from www.pukkaup.com.
This new boat party experience is set to be a huge hit with island dwellers seeking an alternative to techno, house or trance. Tickets for ‘Drop’ will be in high demand so party people should be sure not to miss the boat!
