New Festival Launches with Kaiser Chiefs, Professor Green and more

Sounds in the Grounds is a brand new event for the Midlands’ music calendar, to be hosted in the spectacular grounds of Warwick Castle. An exciting addition to a vibrant summer of events, this two-day extravaganza will see an incredible line-up of artists resonating with both the crowd and the historic setting this coming 10th and 11th July.

Executive Producer, Eric Allen says “We’re really excited to be working in such an iconic British landmark, with fantastic talent”.

Expect the limitless vivacity of Kaiser Chiefs to wow the masses as they headline on Friday 10th July. Following the success of No.1 album, the British society satire “Education, Education, Education & War”, Kaiser Chiefs are currently working on their sixth studio album from which “Falling Awake” is the first single to premier. Proven crowd pleasers, whose catalogue is brimming with sing-along anthems, there couldn’t be more fitting headliners for the event’s inaugural outing.

Read All About It! Chart-topping rapper, singer & songwriter, Professor Green will be gracing the stage at Sounds in the Grounds. Following the top five chart success of his third album Growing up in Public, you can expect an electric performance that will get feet tapping well into the night. Just be good to Green.

Also joining the bill is cool chanteuse Ella Eyre, who is quickly proving to be 2015’s rising superstar, having smashed the live circuit throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia. A live dynamo, Ella’s enthralling live performances never fail to captivate. Her new single, ‘Together’, out this May, promises to bring as much acclaim as mega No.1 smash, ‘Changing’, the single she co-wrote with Sigma that brought her to widespread attention.

Saturday’s show will be an altogether different prospect dominated by classical fare featuring The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. The classical show will have the audience waving their union flags at the Castle with The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra taking to the stage to perform a selection of classical favourites, including Hornpipe, Rule Britannia!, Pomp and Circumstance March No.1 (Land of Hope and Glory) and Nimrod. The evening will come to a grand crescendo with a fantastic firework display lighting up the dusky sky.

Following their current stint at the Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will be unmissable at Sounds in the Grounds. Conducted by impeccable music sculptor and West End legend David Firman, teamed with the idyllic historical setting of Warwick Castle, there will be no better location to experience this iconic performance.

For her first ever festival appearance, Dubliner Lucy O’Byrne will be joining The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Her performance on the The Voice UK astounded the audience and won her the mentorship of will.i.am & Rita Ora. Eventually securing the show’s runner up spot for this year. Lucy has a bright future head of her.
