New Pioneer Professional Audio System Rocks Ade Parties At Panama Amsterdam
One of Amsterdam’s largest and most highly respected nightclubs, Panama, has installed a new Pioneer Professional Audio sound system in time for Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). Over ADE’s five days, the club is hosting special nightly events, which kicked off with the festival’s huge official opening party featuring a DJ set from James Zabiela.
“As one of the leading clubs in Amsterdam, we’re always on the lookout for the newest developments in sound systems – great sound is our priority,” explains Panama’s Program Director, Timo Lassche, adding: “We’d heard good stories about the Pioneer Professional Audio systems and we were impressed by their performance when we heard them ourselves.”
Found in the north-eastern part of Amsterdam’s city centre, Panama is housed in a beautiful old building that was formerly occupied by the Amsterdam Port Company. One of the longest-running clubs in the city, it has a special place in the hearts of local clubbers who expect a flawless audio experience.
For its new system, the club’s management team chose a combination of two GS-WAVE stacks at the front of the dance floor with a selection of XY-Series speakers at the rear and in the champagne bar and balcony areas, with tweeter pods flying overhead. The whole system is driven by Powersoft amplifiers.
Local installers Discovery Sound and Vision had just a five-day window to install everything. First removing the old system, they then had to make modifications to the club’s structure in order to fit in the huge three-metre-high GS-WAVE stacks, as well as set up all the other speakers before the Pioneer Pro Audio team could tune the system. Was it worth the stress?
“We knew the Pioneer Pro Audio system can easily be described as one of the best in the world. Hearing that sound in our venue makes all the effort worth it,” says Lassche. “We can't wait to have thousands of clubbers enjoying this musical experience at Panama.”
And according to Lassche, it won’t take long for that to happen, as he explains: “The news of this new system in Amsterdam is spreading quickly. Everyone who’s heard it so far is super enthusiastic and eager to come and listen to it again.”
At the remaining five ADE parties at Panama (there are two on Sunday), heavyweight international DJs including Mark Knight, Umek, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren will perform on the new Pioneer Pro Audio system.
