Fresh off the back of his huge collaboration with Steve Bug, Moon Harbour founder Matthias Tanzmann is back with another new single. ‘Juniper’ is a fantastic new groove cooked up during lockdown but primed for dance floor returns.
Dance music might have been on pause but Matthias has not: in the last year he has overseen his label’s 100th digital release, has collaborated with Black Circle as well old friend Steve Bug, got to the number one spot of the Beatport Afro House Chart with ‘Chano’ (DJ CHUS Remix) and continued to guest on the Moon Harbour radio show. Now, he serves up more fruits from his latest studio sessions ahead of the imminent return of the global scene.
There is an irresistible sense of house funk to this lively new house cut: the skipping drums have real height, the xylophone-like melodies bubble away in unison up top, and the familiar but sorely missed sound of a bustling dance floor crowd adds real spice. The whole thing is powered by a big, blistering bassline and cannot fail to get crowds of any size locked into the grooves.
Matthias Tanzmann continues to lead from the front with this new track, which is as fresh as the berries it is named after.
