New Zealand Duo Lee Mvtthews Arrives With Highly Anticipated Album ‘Exit’

Kiwi drum & bass heroes Lee Mvtthews present ‘Exit,’ their highly anticipated first studio album since 2019.

One of New Zealand’s top Drum & Bass acts, the duo of Tom Lee & Graham Mvtthews have appeared in the setlists of the likes of Andy C, Pendulum, Sub Focus, A.M.C, Friction, Netsky, Metrik, Koven, K-Motionz, & Hybrid Minds since they met in 2013, and become the go-to New Zealand support for the likes of Wilkinson, Kanine, Grafix & ShockOne.

Their last album ‘Bones’ (2019), won Lee Mvtthews the ‘Best Electronic Artist’ award at the Aotearoa ( NZ) Music Awards in 2020, and also went Gold in New Zealand.

With a desire to step out onto the global D&B scene and a drive to produce something larger than a stream of single releases ‘Exit’ was born.

From dark & heavy rollers to uplifting dancefloor anthems, ‘Exit’ is a culmination of tunes the duo have been writing and playing out over the last 3 years, alongside a host of guests including Degs, legendary Kiwi MC Tiki Taane & The Voice Australia Semi-Finalist, Ella Monnery.

With an incredible versatility of tunes that will speak to fans across the world and the drum & bass spectrum, the album showcases the duo’s prowess as producers, as well as their evolution as artists ready for something more.

“Every song on ‘Exit’ is a different style, they were made at different times, and with different mindsets. There’s something for everyone on this album, there’s Dancefloor, Rollers, Liquid, some Techy stuff, and some stuff that we can’t quite put into a box, which encompasses our love for Drum & Bass perfectly.”

“Calling the album ‘Exit’ was us almost manifesting that this would be the catalyst in taking things to the next step. Is it wishful thinking? Quite possibly. Are you going to think of us every time you leave a building? Definitely.” – Lee Mvtthews
