Nicky Romero, Mike Williams and Amba Shepherd Team Up for “Dynamite” collaboration. Out Now on Protocol Recordings

Nicky Romero has teamed up with his fellow Dutch producer Mike Williams and one of the dance music’s most renowned singers/songwriters Amba Shepherd (known for working with the likes of Hardwell, Tiësto, Porter Robinson, Afrojack, NERVO, Benny Benassi, Laidback Luke, to name a few) for appropriately titled “Dynamite.” In their first-ever collaboration, Nicky and Mike incorporate a goosebump-inducing blend of rising melodies and bouncing basslines, complemented by the enchanting voice from Amba. Her vocals weave their way over undulating progressive sounds, making the collaboration a winning formula. “Dynamite” is born for the club and festival circuit, which is precisely what we have come to know and love from Nicky Romero and Mike Williams over the years. The single follows Nicky Romero‘s soaring edit of Trilane’s “Never Forget” and his original “Everybody Clap” – a collaboration with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

“I got to know Mike by Instagram, we were in touch for a while when he asked if we could do a studio session anytime soon, so we planned everything and came out to the studio, worked on a few ideas and got this one going really fast. Great working with someone who is very hands-on with his production, the reason why we could work really fast!”Nicky Romero

“It was really cool to work with a big artist like Nicky. We spend some time in his studio together, talking about music, this industry and of course working on the collab. It’s a bit unreal for me! I’m super happy with the result of the track. I hope everyone likes it!”Mike Williams.

From young musical wunderkind to renowned performer, producer, label head, Nicky Romero’s illustrious career has brought him to the forefront of modern electronic music. His early hits like “Legacy” with Krewella and the #1I Could Be The One” with Avicii took the world by storm, but Romero quickly proved that his talent is ever-evolving and here to stay. After launching his Protocol Recordings imprint in 2012, Romero has continued his personal successes with tracks such as “Ups & Downs” with W&W, “Sometimes” with DallasK & XYLØ, “Be Somebody” with Steve Aoki and Kiiara and more. Additionally, his Protocol Radio show receives over 40M listeners every week across over 100 FM radio stations worldwide and showcases the label’s roster of incredible talent. Catch Nicky touching down all over the globe on his “Redefine” tour, including residencies in Vegas at Hakkasan and Omnia, and forthcoming performances at London’s The Gallery, Academy in Los Angeles, Medusa Festival in Mexico, Prysm in Chicago, Ultrasonic Winter Festival in The Netherlands and more!

Mike Williams’s breakthrough came in 2017 as his hit “Feel Good“, a collab with non-other than Felix Jaehn, went sky high on radio, in playlists and streams. It has almost 130M streams on Spotify. Mike released club banger “Lullaby” with R3HAB (124M streams) not long after his first success. “The Beat” (over 32M) and “Wait Another Day” with Mesto (23M) followed and turned into huge hits as well. Mike’s 2019′s releases include “Day or Night“, released on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom, “I’m Not Sorry” in collaboration with Hardwell, and Spinnin’ Records‘ release “I Got You“. Because of that recognizable style and sound he creates, he got to play at the most famous festivals like; Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Parookaville, World Club Dome, and Mysteryland, among others. When he’s back home from touring through the US, Canada, Asia, and Europe, you can find the down to earth Dutchie in his studio in Hilversum.
