On the one-year anniversary of his career-defining Nightvision show, Nicky Romero releases the full two-hour performance from Amsterdam‘s iconic venue AFAS Live. Marking the biggest spectacle of his illustrious career, the sold-out event saw the globally acclaimed Dutch DJ/producer masterfully blend music and visual art for an immersive sonic journey. Audiences were transported through defining eras of Nicky‘s legacy – from euphoric progressive house anthems that shook global festivals to his more recent underground-influenced productions, saw him playing instruments live on stage and witnessed performances from surprise guests. With breathtaking visuals from world-class creators and live performances on three instruments, Nightvision showcased Nicky‘s unmatched artistry and boundless creativity. The release follows his recent stream of single releases, such as “Here We go Again” with Timmy Trumpet and GESES, “Where Do I Go” with Vikkstar, Alpharock, Oaks, “Fly” with Ayrton Senna, “Lost In The Dust” as his alter-ego Monocule and a remix of Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding‘s hit “Free“, signaling a thrilling new chapter in his ever-evolving soundscape.
“Looking back at 2024, it’s been a year of personal growth and reflection, and I’m so excited to share the live set from my biggest solo show with you all. That show was such a huge moment for me – it wasn’t just about the music, but the energy, the crowd, and the connection we had. Even though it happened a year ago, it still feels so fresh, and being able to relive it through this release feels like bringing a piece of that night to everyone who couldn’t be there, and for those who were, it’s like stepping back in time. It’s a way to celebrate all the hard work and passion that went into making that moment happen. Heading into 2025, I’m excited to keep pushing the music, experimenting with new sounds, and growing as an artist. I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead, and I can’t wait to keep this journey going with the people who’ve been supporting me. Hope to have you with me on this journey.” – Nicky Romero
After taking the world by storm with early hits such as “Legacy” with Krewella, “Like Home” with NERVO and the #1 single “I Could Be The One” with Avicii, Nicky Romero quickly proved that his talent is ever-evolving and here to stay. After launching his Protocol Recordings imprint in 2012, the renowned performer, producer, and label head continued his personal successes with a string of high-profile releases, ranging from collaborations with Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, Timmy Trumpet, Steve Aoki, Jonas Blue and Hardwell to remixes for the likes of Bebe Rexha, Robin Schulz, Kygo, Rita Ora, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Jess Glynne, Calvin Harris, RAYE, and more. While showcasing his label’s roster via his weekly Protocol Radio show, Nicky Romero continues to innovate and evolve, and with his annual “Nicky Romero & Friends” ADE showcase and the launch of Monocule alter-ego, he keeps proving his ability to turn into gold everything he touches and continues to push boundaries with each show concept and new release, forever instilling himself as a dance music icon. Looking ahead to 2025, Nicky‘s fans can expect even more music and collaborations. He has upcoming releases with artists like David Guetta, Gabry Ponte and Sam Feldt, and his journey as a producer and DJ is far from over. As Nicky continues to push the boundaries of electronic music and build on his legacy, fans around the world can look forward to even more exciting projects from him and Protocol Recordings in the years to come.
