Niel Degas, the renowned DJ and producer unveils his latest masterpiece ‘Braveheart’

Born in Maryland and currently based in South Florida, Niel Degas has been DJing and producing music since 2010. He draws inspiration from some of the biggest names in the music industry, such as Calvin Harris, Hardwell, Daft Punk, and Purple Disco Machine.

What sets Niel apart from others is his unmatched versatility as an artist. He seamlessly blends various genres to create a unique and captivating sound that leaves his listeners wanting more. His debut EP, “Don’t Need You” featuring the talented Scarlett, is a testament to his exceptional production skills. The EP’s catchy rhythms and danceable melodies earned it a spot in the Beatport Top 10 for several consecutive weeks, solidifying Niel’s place in the industry as a rising star. A year later the artists have united again for a new release called “Braveheart”.

“Braveheart” is an inspirational track with a composition that delves into the themes of courage and resilience, urging listeners to confront oppression and overcome life’s challenges, that draw from the artist’s personal experiences.

The inception of Braveheart emerged as a result of Niel’s exploratory approach, delving into new musical territories. “My intention was to create a main floor track that seamlessly blends elements of House and Tech House”.

Initially intended as a solo track for the release, Niel met Dark Intensity during Miami Music Week. After sharing a preview of the original “Braveheart” cut, the artist expressed keen interest in creating a remix. While Niel admired Dark Intensity’s remixes and previous work, it took some persuasion to consider including remixes for this personal track. However, after receiving a preview track from Dark Intensity, Niel was convinced.

From there Niel started expanding upon the remix idea, sending it to his co-collaborator and duo partner, Ricardo Geldres, who provided his unique take on the song, resulting in an impactful rendition. Seeking to add a more subdued and commercially appealing house vibe, Niel also crafted an additional V.I.P. remix.

Block & Crown (Hed Kandi, Spinnin), a prominent figure in the realm of house music, presents the third remix. This remix draws inspiration from the authentic disco sound and nostalgic club vibes, teleporting the listener into timeless dance classics.

The variety offered by the original mix and the remixes greatly appealed to Niel, believing that this release caters to a diverse audience. All tracks, including the impressive vocals and songwriting by Scarlett, turned out exceptionally well, justifying the inclusion of the additional remixes in the final release.

“Braveheart” is a joint label release between Niel’s own label Arietis Records and partner label Tazmania Records, which will be available on all platforms on the 28th of July.
