Swedish duo NOTD have unveiled their debut EP ‘NOTED…EP’ out 9th September on Polydor.
A six-track release, ‘NOTED…EP’ opens with the carefree dance-pop of ‘Less I Know’ with Detroit singer-songwriter Quinn XCII. Next up is latest single ‘Killing Me’, a heartfelt anthem featuring Hastings, then the future bass vibes of ‘What’s With The Roses’ featuring Kiiara, and slick indie-dance vibes of ‘Worst Thing’ with Kenzie. ‘About You’ is characterised by its beautiful vocal harmonies, before ‘Never A Good Time’ ensures things are closed out on a feelgood note. The release precedes a mammoth North American tour.
“This EP is very special to us,” NOTD enthuse. “Until now, we’ve released only singles, so to be able to put out a project like this feels surreal and to be honest it’s also a bit scary. Being stuck at home these past few years because of Covid gave us the time to experiment with new sounds and see how we could implement them in our music. We’re both such big fans of rock/alternative/indie music, so you’re going to hear some of those influences in these new songs. We are so thankful we got to collaborate with such amazing artists and songwriters to bring it to life and we’re so proud of how it turned out.”
NOTD consists of 21-year-old Sami and 24-year old Tobi, who first connected through Soundcloud then coincidentally attended the same high school in southern Sweden. Since their first release, the pair have accumulated over 2.5 billion streams across all digital platforms and have been seen on a 25-date tour opening for legendary DJ and producer Zedd.
NOTD’s first ever EP, ‘NOTED…EP’ is a career milestone for one of Northern Europe’s hottest musical duos.
