After a breakout 2015 that saw Kronic earn a #1 Beatport record, collaborate with the likes of Lil Jon, Savage & Far East Movement, and grace televisions across Australia with the MTV Crew, Australia’s bass champion returns with "NRG."
The follow up to 2015’s Feel That, "NRG" finds Kronic deep down low in bass territory. Pounding kicks and sinister synths are paired with haunting vocals from Nikki Jean, complemented by frantic chants from rising Jamaican superstar, Conkarah.
While Nikki Jean is best known for her contributions to Lupe Fiasco’s "Hip Hop Saved My Life," Conkarah’s cover of "Hello" can be currently be found in the Top 5 of Spotify’s Global Viral chart.
"NRG" is the first offering of Kronic’s upcoming EP, Sophisticated Ignorance, due out this May on Sup Girl. As his most ambitious project yet, Sophisticated Ignorance sees Kronic forging a deeper connection between hip hop and electronic music.
