NTEIBINT feat. Birsen – Riptide

Following on from the Eskimo EP ‘Never Without You’ back in April, NTEIBINT returns with another divine disco classic featuring Birsen on ‘Riptide’.

Renowned for his work with Warp Records and Chet Faker, NTEIBINT is known for lush and sonic soundscapes, masterfully produced and taking the listener to new dimensions. ‘Riptide’ follows in these steps with a dream–like melody built from dextrous layering instrumentation around a casual pace, and bewitching vocals from Birsen, that elevate the record to a pop classic. Complete with a dub mix ‘Riptide’ yearns to be heard again and again.

BACKGROUND
NTEIBINT (say : n – thaï – bint) is the music project by upcoming producer George Bakalakos. It all started with a remix for Jamie Lidell´s ‘Little Bit of Feel Good’ on Warp. Following that release, George focused on producing several remixes for artists like Light Year, The Rapture, Alex Gopher and Chet Faker. Following EP’s on Bang Gang and Kitsuné, the ‘Never Without You’ release on Eskimo was the logical next step. His track ‘Baby’ is on The Green Collection, the third installment in new a compilation series on Eskimo based around colours. George is also the host of a daily radio show on the Athenian radio station En Lefko 87.7.

Birsen is in a fresh and upcoming Belgian band called Hydrogen Sea that is making big strides and also writes for Belgian pop star Selah Sue.

Eskimo launched in 2000 and since this time has nurtured some of disco’s most infamous faces and veterans such as Ivan Smagghe, Headman, Rub N Tug, Chromeo, Aeroplane, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas. Fast forward to 2014 and Eskimo still encompasses a cosmopolitan European roster and electronic pop framework out of their Belgian base. They have established themselves as a hotbed for new talent, continually discovering exciting new talents and responsible for building the careers of recently established artists such as Satin Jackets, Blende, Vinny Villbass and NTEIBINT. Its colour compilation series have notched up the Pink, Blue and Green Collections which are a go to for the future heroes of electronic music.
