French DJ and producer N’TO and trip-hop pioneer Tricky have unveiled the official video for their collaborative track ‘Love You Like Always’.
The captivating official video for ‘Love You Like Always’ tells the tale of four young protagonists: delving into their relationship amidst a cinematic, visually-stunning backdrop. A collaboration between N’TO and one of his childhood idols, the track first featured on the Marseille-born artist’s acclaimed debut album Apnea, an LP that has amassed millions of combined streams.
Video directors Pierre+Mathias explain: “The musical collaboration with N’TO and Tricky let us delve into themes that are close to our heart. We are following four friends that are going through and sharing significant times in their youth. The viewers enter a story that is already set, and it’s up to them to interpret some aspects of the storytelling”.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of James Holden, Stephan Bodzin and Paul Kalkbrenner, N’TO’s musical journey began in his late teens. He soon found a home for his productions on labels such as Basilic Records, Inlab Recordings and Hungry Music, the latter of which he formed in 2014 with contemporaries Worakls and Joachim Pastor.
Bristol-born Tricky began his career as a member of Massive Attack before embarking on an acclaimed solo career. He has since released a slew of albums and collaborated with a long and diverse list of artists that includes Terry Hall, Björk, Gravediggaz, Grace Jones and PJ Harvey.
A track featuring one of his great musical influences, ‘Loving You Like Always’ is a landmark release in the story of N’TO.
