Hang On Music has a long history of setting global techno trends and now it branches out with a first ever release on vinyl. It comes from label boss Alex M and is entitled Oblivion, with three originals and one chord version included on the essential new package. As always, the Italian comes correct with everything on offer here and as such this is a must buy for any DJ.
All four of the cuts are truly powerful affairs with richly detailed productions and warm sonic aesthetics that really suck you in. Up first is Oblivion, which races out of the blocks with some metallic chords that get filtered and smeared, skewed and stretched over bumping rubber beats. It is an attention grabbing tune that then gets followed up by a more ravey and fiery cut, Only One, that has slick vocals and big stabs making you move. Then comes My Mind, which is supplied in two versions. The first is a really bumping banger with spine tingling vocal musings and the second one is more rich with its big chords, Melodic as well as moving it makes for a top package.
