Obsidian Cane Returns With UKG EP, RESET II

Following on from his debut UK Garage EP, ‘Reset’ released August 2020, which marks the rebirth of his musical direction, OBSIDIAN CANE continues the journey with EP, RESET II, out on all DSPs. The three-set EP features singles, ‘Mr, Creep’, ‘Shine’ & ‘Secret Place.’

As he did for his debut RESET EP, the London producer features a stellar line-up of three songstresses who are carving their names in the UK music scene.

London’s singer-songwriter Joy Ami introduces the EP with ‘Mr. Creep’, which possesses a deep gusty soulful/UKG – a perfect platform for her outstanding vocal range. Following in her parent’s footsteps Joy has been singing since she learned the alphabet. Career highlights include BBC Radio London feature, performing at the Royal Albert Hall, music festivals in France and Canada as well as a variety of private functions. Accompanied with a piano, her live performances are often described as minimal sound with a big emotional impact.

East London’s creative singer-songwriter, Ferraz, (formerly known as Chennez), keeps the vibes going, with ‘Shine’, gracing her sugary sweet soulful vocal performance over a smooth funky arrangement. Known for her versatile gritty sweet soulful vocals reminiscent of the 70s & 80s fierce divas with roots in contemporary neo soul & modern funk fusion, Ferraz’s debut single ‘Groove on’ went straight to No1 on the Track Source Funk Soul chart. Follow up singles, ‘So Right’ & ‘Pushing to Begin’, produced by Dego of 4Hero, received UK and International success.

Stacey Pierre concludes the RESET II EP with ‘Secret Place’, whose alluringly soulful vocals, together with the infectiously tranquil 2-step tones, provides the ultimate ending to the set. A singer-songwriter, producer & accomplished guitarist from London, whose vocal style and harmonies set her apart from other artists, Stacey Pierre released her debut EP ‘EDEN’ in 2018 which she wrote, recorded, produced & mastered herself. Stacey is also a member of indie funk band Gingersnaps and has performed Live at Leeds, The Great Escape & Reading/Leeds festivals.

Before going under his new moniker, Obsidian Cane produced music for artists signed to Warner Bros, EMI and Parlophone as well as producing music for TV shows on Channel 4, BBC1 and BBC2. He scored a club hit, ‘I Need A Rhythm’ as UKG duo KP alongside fellow producer Paul Benjamin. Obsidian Cane recently performed with featured singer Ferraz at events including 51st state Music Festival and House of Silk.

With his love affair for the pumped-up bass paired with UKG of the yesteryear, Obsidian Cane’s ‘RESET II’ EP is sure get any party started for the upcoming warm months. Check out Reset II below:
