Obskür Debut on neXup recz with Underground-Driven ‘Another Life’

Set for release on February 28th, Irish duo Obskür bring their raw, club-focused sound to Max Dean’s neXup recz with ‘Another Life’ – a high-energy, underground two-tracker set to thrive in the heat of the dancefloor. Grab your copy via Beatport or stream it via Spotify now.

Kicking off with ‘Another Life’, Obskür channel their signature racy grooves into a peak-time weapon. Driving rhythm propels the track forward, layered with punchy percussion, retro-fuelled melodic touches, and a sharp, no-nonsense bassline. There’s a gritty, almost industrial edge woven through its energy, giving it a bold character that feels right at home in dark, sweat-drenched club spaces.

Flipping the script, ‘Can You Dig It’ moves into deeper territory, built around a weighty, rolling groove. Moody bass tones sit at the heart of the track, creating a brooding, late-night atmosphere that pulses with intensity. The track’s standout vocal hook adds even more character, building intensity through its transitional segments and leading into plenty of weighty throwdowns. The perfect yin to its predecessor’s yang, it completes a perfectly balanced, club-ready release set to do damage on dancefloors around the globe in 2025.

Since bursting onto the scene, Obskür have cemented themselves as one of the most exciting names in modern dance music, fusing elements of classic rave, techno, and garage into their signature club-ready sound that saw them featured on BBC Radio 1’s hallowed Essential Mix in 2024. Besides regularly playing clubs and festivals around the globe, their previous releases on the likes of Eastenderz, Disorder and Defected have seen support from heavyweights across the industry and their ‘Another Life’ EP is set to follow suit.

For neXup recz, this release backs up an impressive 2024 – with several chart topping-releases and becoming Beatport’s 6th highest-selling Minimal / Deep tech label of the year – whilst continuing its commitment to cutting-edge underground music, pushing high-quality club tracks built for real dancefloor moments.
