Following last week’s wave of praise (from fans and critics alike) for ODESZA’s first new music in four years, ‘The Last Goodbye’ (feat. Bettye LaVette), the duo today release an accompanying video that captures the track’s cinematic power. Watch the video here
Highlighting the impact of the instrumentation, the duo (Clayton Knight and Harrison Mills) serve as the video’s focal point positioned on their instruments – keyboards, guitar and synths – throughout the trippy, artful take of the song. The stunning visual features archival footage of LaVette performing the vocal source material (her 1965 song ‘Let Me Down Easy’).
In just one week, the duo’s new single ‘The Last Goodbye’ has been streamed a total of more than four million times across global DSPs.
