Super talented producer ODXC has released a brand new project, ‘In The Dungeon: Chapter One’. ODXC collaborates with several artists in the brand new EP and showcases an impeccable display of the UK grime scene at its finest. The lead track, featuring Koko Lé Darko, boasts a menacing quality in the looming synths, growls of a revving engine and pounding 808’s, that unite to create a flow that is distorted and dynamic.
Elaborating on his musical style, ODXC explains “My music is a combination of different genres and sonic aesthetics, most notably Hip-Hop and Drill, but my creativity is not solely limited to these particular sounds. My most recent studio release, “In The Dungeon: Chapter One” is a perfect example of this creative balance, showcasing the artist’s personality, and my ability to produce music and visuals that sets the bar higher in terms of originality and artistry. Due to this period of isolation and lack of events, I needed to create opportunities to network with different people in the industry. This project gave me a chance to navigate and exhibit my production within the industry”.
ODXC is influenced by his local London scene, where old school R&B, hip-hop and afro collide in perfect synergy. Growing up surrounded by such a rich multitude of genres, he developed a musical taste that has flourished throughout the years, sourcing fellow talented artists in the capital to expand his network. Defining himself as a ‘creator of vibes’, ODXC has obtained an impressive reputation and skillset to match, and ‘In The Dungeon: Chapter One’ is an exhilarating new avenue for the artist.
