Ohso Davis, like many, has taken time to discover and realise what sound and sonics will suit him and his style best. Finding his feet over time alongside collaborations with other creatives, he came upon a real fresh and crisp dosage of neo-soul and jazz. ‘You Who’ is the first of a plethora of material at the ready, and it’s a highly suave and charismatic introduction to his craft.
Davis makes himself known in the jazz infused world, smoothly and sophisticated with an unwitting charm. ‘You Who’ is something you could imagine in any jazz club, packed full of funk-laden bass, relaxed yet layered harmonies, a sublimely presented brass section and so much more. His relaxed vocal also takes control of the track in an understated way which speaks volumes. Look out for Ohso Davis.
Speaking on the meaning behind ‘You Who’, Ohso explains:
“You Who is about recognizing that not everyone will resonate with your creative expression, but there will always be people who do. As my first project, this is a call to all those who will become part of my community in an effort to support each other.”
