Oliver Schories – Fields Without Fences

‘Quality will find its way.’

These are the words of Oliver Schories, an artist responsible for some of the most intricately melodic electronic music of recent years. After a busy year playing a string of shows across mainland Europe and Australia, Schories returns to his own SOSO imprint for the release of his latest full-length effort, ‘Fields Without Fences’.

Quality certainly does find its way! Rich textures compliment club tracks of the highest tension, whilst the album’s title track lends itself as much to home-listening as it does to the dark confines of the most energetic basement parties. Tracks like ‘Brizzle’ explode with an epic marriage of euphoric vocal samples and floating synths, but there are moments such as in ‘Late Checkout TBC’ which really help to showcase Schories’ true versatility. Tribal drums and fragmented basslines emerge as the album’s most important features, injecting a vitality into Schories’ release unparalleled by most.

Since his much celebrated second album ‘Exit’, remixed by the likes of Pupkulies & Rebecca and Rodriguez Jr., Schories has gone from strength to strength – a fact certainly observable from his latest release. One that will only see this formidable artist garner further attention in 2015.

The album will be released on March 13th through SOSO and will be available on vinyl, CD and digitally.
