Apollo 84 launches new imprint named Fusion with a release from Kydus featuring Mladen Tomic and the label founder on remix duties.
A sub-label to Apollo 84’s thriving Twisted Fusion, Fusion Records “aims to bridge the gap between the rolling grooves of Tech House to the power percussion and energy that makes Techno so infectious”. Inaugurating its discography is Kydus, well-known for releases on Saved, Knee Deep In Sound, Stereo Productions and Circus Recordings. A regular headliner across Europe, including numerous appearances in Ibiza and festivals such as Eastern Electrics and We Are FSTVL, the in demand Liverpudlian artist continues to build a positive momentum whilst proving to be a force to be reckoned with.
Featuring a cacophony of percussive elements, ‘Omen’ is a robust, energetic and built with the dancefloor in mind. Apollo 84’s remix borrows many of the original’s components whilst focusing on a low-slung groove, incorporating metallic stabs and dusky synths before Bosnian producer Mladen Tomic, known for releases on Sci + Tec, Octopus and 100% Pure, conjures up a moody and mesmerizing reinterpretation of his own.
Kydus ‘Omen’ drops on Fusion on 30th June 2017.
