Anonymous producers Miura Keys are back with a new solo release, ‘Ominous’ featuring the emotive vocals of Spanish singer Sofi de la Torre. Joining the likes of Kygo and Robin Shchulz, Muira Keys makes their mark in tropical house with this deep and atmospheric production , it’s synths, guitars and addictive melody creating a sensual counterpart to Sofi’s sultry voice. Remixes from Berlin’s own acclaimed Chi Tanh and UK producer, Nocturn Inc complete the package.
Having already remixed respected artists such as Lemar, Elbow, Jack Savoretti, XOV and Graham Candy, Miura Keys have started their mission to combine powerful house beats with emotional synths and keyboards, spreading their music across the globe and creating a wave of consciousness to their melodic, tropical sound.
Sofi de la Torre has been steadily making noise with her own music, featured so far in The Guardian, Nylon, Q Mag and Time to name but a few. Heralded as ‘a game changer’ by Billboard, Sofi went on to sign publishing with Sony and team up with Finnish producers Jonas Karlsson and Axel Ehnstrom to create the hugely popular ‘Vermillion’. Her talent, noticeable throughout her career, now lends itself to ‘Ominous’, adding to her already glowing repertoire.
On remix duties, UK’s Nocturn Inc leads with piano-laddden grooves and deep wobbly basses for a more uplifting take – Berlin’s Chi Tanh, who has remixed for Lana Del Ray & Metronomy, goes for a darker, more techy version which resonates with his home town’s vibe.
The mystery of Miura Keys continues, their sound speaks for itself.
