He might have only been on the dance music scene’s radar for a few years but what Josh Butler has achieved during that time is enormously impressive. He has both a DJ Mag and Beatport Award under his belt, plus releases on MadTech, MTA, Noir and Cajual, all of which caught the attention of industry influencers like Pete Tong, Heidi, Steve Lawler and Joris Voorn. He’s very much in demand at the moment, being in the midst of a residency in Ibiza this summer, and with plenty of new music on the way.
One of these new tracks, ‘On The Edge’ is this mellow and melodic house record, featuring the rich, RnB-style, vocals of Kerri-Anne. It’s a beautiful track with textbook structure, building steadily to a climax worthy of any Ibizan dancefloor. Josh demonstrates an accomplished understanding of club audiences and making dancefloors bounce.
