WAVEDASH is back on NGHTMRE & SLANDER's Gud Vibrations with the fourth and final single from their new "Opening Ceremony" EP, a bass track of epic proportions titled "The Same." The talented trio deliver a deceptively melodic opening that's quickly dissolved into serrating synths and stabbing basslines. "The Same" follows WAVEDASH's prior releases on Gud Vibrations: "Whiplash," "BSTRD" and "Deathwish," which all together make up the "Opening Ceremony" EP. The guys touched on the inspiration behind this latest project in their message below:
"We're so thankful and excited that 'Opening Ceremony' got to be the very first release on the Gud Vibrations record label. Aesthetically we've been touching on this idea of a future where bike racing is a big deal for the world, in a similar way to that of the Olympics or the World Cup. It's very inspired by media we love like Akira and Star Wars, and it's something we'll continue exploring into 2019 and potentially beyond."
Although the three members of WAVEDASH are in their early twenties, this trio has exhibited producing prowess beyond their years. After listening to WAVEDASH's music, it's quickly evident why their debut "Bang" was picked up as a release on Skrillex's OWSLA and they've since made a name for themselves with official remixes (incl. DJ Snake's "Ocho Cinco" and Excision's "Final Boss") live performances at EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland and Nocturnal Wonderland. The last year has been a monstrous one for WAVEDASH, who collaborated with heavyweight artists on major labels such as "Grave" with NGHTMRE on Mad Decent, "Move Back" with SLANDER on Insomniac Records, and their "Devil Music" EP on Mat Zo's Mad Zoo. WAVEDASH always promises a sonic journey full of the heaviest and filthiest bass music out there, so keep an eye out for what else they have up their sleeve this year!
