Recruited by Kill Paris’ Sexy Electric Label for an official remix of single “Operate,” Illenium succeeds in creating another outstanding work of art. “Operate” acts as the perfect canvas for Illenium to work his magic and transform the track into the kind of sweeping, emotional epic that he shapes so expertly. Where the original is funky and smooth, Illenium’s new interpretation carries the listener along an impassioned sonic journey that builds into an euphoric masterpiece. Debuted this past weekend during his set at Electric Forest to an exuberant crowd, “Operate (Illenium Remix)” looks to be one of his biggest remixes to date.

ABOUT ILLENIUM
There are melodic bass producers, and then there is Nick Miller. The Denver-based producer known as Illenium has been turning heads in the dance music community over the past year and for good reason. Illenium has distinguished himself from the myriad of others through an unrivaled ability to create an immersive emotional experience of highs and lows that pulls on the heart strings and leaves the listener awestruck, accomplishing in the span of just a few short minutes what takes many a full set. He has displayed an adeptness for creating aural arrangements that vary in style, yet always maintain beauty, complexity and emotional depth. Illenium has seen many successful releases throughout 2014 and 2015, including remixes of Galantis, Dawn Golden, Odesza, Oh Wonder and stand-out originals “I’ll Be Your Reason,” “So Wrong,” and his recent collaboration “Spirals” with Sound Remedy, among others.
