Pirate Copy - Original Pirate Copy

Manchester duo Pirate Copy return to Kaluki for a new EP this October, entitled ‘Original Pirate Copy’ and featuring a remix from Lancashire’s Vibe Killers.

Kaluki Musik has garnered a prolific reputation since its inception in 2006 featuring releases from Leftwing & Kody and Nathan Barato & Kid Enigma, to name a few. Further Pirate Copy releases on Get Slow and Natural Rhythm, as well as club residencies all over Europe has set the duo up nicely for their latest release ‘Original Pirate Copy’ EP.

Offering a fiery selection of weighty house tracks, ‘Original Pirate Copy’ kick starts the EP. Jittering cowbells and driving drum hits heat up energy levels from the outset, before giving way to brooding bass grooves, decorated with gritty synth tones. Next, ‘Rock That’ maintains the vibe with a shuffling, hypnotic aesthetic.

Then, Vibe Killers step up to supply an invigorating remix, 909 percussion abound, the remix offers a visceral flip to Pirate Copy’s animated original. ‘Get Back’ marks the EP’s final track with fervent drums and floating acidic melodies, building up to a commanding conclusion.

‘Original Pirate Copy EP’ is out on Kaluki Musik 31st October 2016

Tracklist:

1. Original Pirate Copy
2. Rock That
3. Rock That (Vibe Killers Remix)
4. Get Back
