OXIA Debuts on Warung with ‘Hold The Night’ EP

Armed with a vast catalogue of critically lauded releases over the past few years on leading labels including Bedrock, All Day I Dream, Sapiens, Kneaded Pains, FORM Music and his very own Diversions Music imprint (which he runs together with label partner Nicolas Masseyeff) internationally celebrated French producer OXIA now makes his debut on Warung Recordings, with the announcement of his stunning four-track Hold the Night EP.

Featuring three brand new OXIA originals and an official remix from Brazilian producers and Warung regulars Antdot & Albuquerque, the four-track EP is available now, worldwide, across all major DSPs.

First up, is the magnificent title track Hold The Night. Delving deep into his expansive sonic repertoire to deliver his latest mesmerising dancefloor weapon, OXIA layers intricate drum patters with sweeping chords and an uninterrupted synth refrain to launch the EP in style. By contrast – and using exactly the same parts as the opener, but mixed in a different way – the Frenchman’s second offering, Hold The Day, sees OXIA explore a more dream-like dynamic to the title track, as crisp hi hats, growling bass stabs and ethereal melodies unfold; casting a magical, sun-drenched spell over proceedings.

Entering the second half of the EP with OXIA’s third and final original, Slide sees the Diversions label boss offer up an emphatic slice of deep, melodic tech complete with arpeggiated riffs and textural percussion, before Brazilian producers Antdot & Albuquerque take us home with their own unique edit, brimming with cosmic midnight energy and perfectly executed chord progressions. Stretching the record out in all directions with their expert manipulation of luscious pads and organic drum patterns, the two hotly-tipped artists pull out all the stops to close out another emphatic release on the burgeoning Warung Recordings.

Hailing from Grenoble, France, OXIA is one of the most respected DJs and producers on the international circuit, with a career spanning over twenty years, countless releases and multiple world tours. On top of an impressive list of remixes and releases on respected imprints such as 8bit, Hot Creations, Saved, Knee Deep in Sound to name just a few, he also fronts his own label, Diversions Music, and has collaborated with several famous artists including Agoria and Miss Kittin to name a few.
