Pablo Fierro and Birds of Mind will join Peggy Gou at LOST NOMADS Agafay
A few weeks ago, Lost Nomads announced that it would hold a new edition in the Agafay desert, their birthplace, on Saturday, June 3rd. It confirmed Peggy Gou as the headliner, which is a historic milestone as it will be the first time the artist performs in Morocco. Now, it’s time to reveal the rest of the artists who will be part of the lineup: Pablo Fierro, Birds of Mind, Mr. ID, and local DJs Kawtar Sadik and Nawfal.
Pablo Fierro is leading a new wave of cosmopolitan electronic music. His unique and innovative style not only blends house music with jazz rhythms and soul sounds but also integrates ancestral sounds influenced by his tropical roots that break boundaries in electronic compositions. This DJ and producer from the Canary Islands has channeled his energy through music to create evocative pieces that stand out for their intricate rhythms and hypnotic beats. It’s a unique sound that’s passionate and always ready to integrate new influences.
Birds of Mind is a collaboration between Alex H. and Adrian C. This Parisian duo of DJs and producers both come from very different backgrounds. Alex H. studied film, and it was his travels around the world that revealed his passion for music. Adrian C. comes from a Venezuelan family of classical musicians. In fact, he studied at the Paris Conservatory. The union of both has resulted in a musical genre that is electronic but lead by the exploration of organic sounds and ancestral chants. Listening to their music evokes spirituality, peacefulness, and a connection with nature.
Mr. ID is a Moroccan artist whose music comes from the heart. His style is said to be pilgrimage music because it blends American rap beats with the spirituality of jazz and funk rhythms. But if there’s something that really defines his sound, it’s the traditional notes of Morocco and Africa. Ancestral voices that only the Atlas Mountains bear witness to. His songs are a blend of history and music from all over the continent, as if all African voices joined together to shout their identity in unison.
Furthermore, Lost Nomads didn’t want to miss the opportunity to continue supporting and showcasing local talent. This is why, in this new edition, local DJs Kawtar Sadik and Nawfal will have the opportunity to share the stage with some of the most influential and important names in contemporary electronic music.
Lost Nomads remains committed to offering audiences experiences of electronic music rarely seen and with very limited capacity. Their proposal unites sensory expansion with some of the world’s most fascinating locations. Their new edition will, therefore, have the motto “A Night in the Square“. A night at the market that will transport them to the deepest and most mystical traditions of Morocco.
