Parallel Romance presents No Way Out, a two-track EP by Dro & Stepan Gusak that delves into the emotional weight of feeling trapped in life’s endless loops. Reflecting on themes of isolation, obsession, and the search for meaning, the EP is both a physical and psychological trip through the underground.
The opening track, “Run!”, is a hypnotic techno weapon built for fog-drenched warehouses and strobe-lit basements. It pulses with unrelenting energy, pairing a locked groove with eerie atmospheric textures. Through the mix, a haunting vocal echoes just one word Run!” like a command or a warning, pushing the listener forward through the maze.
The second track, “Not An Emotion (Love)”
Sinks into a dub-inspired groove. Anchored by deep sub-bass and classic dub stabs, it’s a slow-burning roller that balances warmth and unease. A chilling vocal sample drifts through the track: “Love… it’s not an emotion, it’s an addiction.” The message cuts through the groove with stark clarity, transforming the dancefloor into a space for reflection.
No Way Out captures the tension between motion and emotion, between escape and obsession. It’s a release for dark rooms and deeper minds.
