Pattern Drama – Patterness

Originally conceptualized by Rami Deejay and Corey, Pattern Drama has been a project that has thus far been captivating and memorable. While Rami Deejay has went on to put time and effort into his Bedouin project along with Tamer Malki, Corey Baker has taken the reigns of Pattern Drama quickly seeing global recognition with three gigs scheduled for WMC in Miami for 2015 as well as shows in Colombia and Boston.  Although Rami Deejay has put his mainly focused on his Bedouin project, he collaborated with Corey on this release and will most likely revisit the Pattern Drama project again in the future and will continue helping out with production elements.

New York’s Pattern Drama, AKA Corey Baker (one third of Wildkats) is an assertive and dynamic artist to come from New York City’s burgeoning underground house scene. His remarkable release schedule has seen originals and remixes on Touch Of Class, Cityfox, Faceless, and the Berlin label URSL. His tour schedule is on par with his release schedule with gigs at some of the most illustrious venues and festivals in the world including Fabric UK, Fusion Festival in Germany, Space and Sankeys in Ibiza, BPM Festival in Mexico, and Robot Heart at Burning Man.

‘Patterness’ starts off with the title track that has an enrapturing kick that builds tension steadily building with anticipation. Melodious elements and harmonies eventually take hold as if welcoming the warmer weather and springtime. The saga continues with mesmeric undertones fit for tropical paradise with pristine blue water.

The 2nd track in the EP entitled ‘My Position’ finishes off ‘Patterness’ by starting off strong with a bit more solid and technical bassline. Allowing you to move from the beach to the pool or lounge as the vocal clearly states repetitively. Making for a great transition from the daytime to the evening and allowing to start getting your groove on and set the pace for the night. ‘Patterness’ enthralls and intrigues the listener allowing them to embrace the warmer weather and prepare for the spring and summer seasons.

The San Francisco label OM Records has been releasing electronic music for 20 years by some of the most well-known and respected artists in the world.
