Patterns update: Bicep NYE, Ben UFO B2B Leon Vynehall, Kode9, Fort Romeau, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Oneman, Skream, Ghostly International, Erol Alkan, Wookie and more

Patterns has the power to beat the winter blues with an epic load of musical treats in store for the rest of November, December & January plus a very special first NYE…

As the dark nights draw in, our culture of descending into those ubiquitous black boxes becomes the tonic to the stresses of daily life, and as long as your favourite local club is getting it right, then everything’s going to be OK, RIGHT?

The good folk at Patterns keep getting it right, week in week out, delivering an array of live and electronic talent across two floors. A spacious lounge bar for early doors cocktails with rotating vinyl junkies and special guests on the decks, and a hedonistic basement downstairs that melts your troubles away with a constant flow of high calibre acts. Live bands early on are followed by the cream of the electronic crop taking over ‘till late. Here are 3 reasons why Patterns has the answer…

SEASON’S GREETINGS

Still to come this month, Livity Sound’s Bristol bass heavyweights Pev & Kowton, along with Kahn & Neek will be out in force for MUTE’s 2nd Birthday special on Friday 20th, followed by first lady of Chicago house The Black Madonna, taking over on Saturday night for an education in classy bangers. Friday 27th November sees the Rhythm Junction crew back in full effect with L.I.E.S artist Florian Kupfer and fresh Glaswegian talent Denis Sulta laying it down. Over the weekend, bouncy house master HNNY and underground San Francisco techno talent Avalon Emerson are down for Saturday 28th November, while Sunday brings the Mutations Festival takeover with a sure to be blinding, unmissable B2B set from John Talabot and Leon Vynehall plus London electronic live act Tourist. On the LIVE front alt-electro-pop star Little Boots is in town on her ‘Working Girl’ album tour, Friday 27th November and LA rockers Mini Mansions will be entertaining early doors on Saturday 28th.

In December, the Patterns advent calendar of goodies will be stocking Black Butter Records artist My Nu Leng, the unstoppable Seven Davis Jnr, DnB institution Hospital Records celebrating their Hospitality Brighton 10th Birthday, Berlin vinyl purists Italojohnson, and the Futureboogie takeover with Dave Harvey and PBR Streetgang. Patterns LIVE brings a trio of diverse acts for early December with London’s answer to ‘drunk folk’ Beans On Toast on Thursday 3rd, local indie rockers High Tyde Friday 4th Dec and punk-rap duo Ho99o9 for a no doubt visceral and twisted Tuesday 8th December.

PATTERNS NYE
‘One Night In Miami’ with Bicep

Patterns is pumped to announce its first ever NYE with headline guests BICEP (Feel My Bicep), who’ll be throwing it down for the midnight set in the downstairs vamped up 80s ‘Discoteque’. Bathed in red light with flashes of strobe, revellers can get lost in the burning inferno of classic and reimagined house and disco that the boys are famed for. A choice selection of the club’s talented residents will be dishing it out across both floors all night.

Upstairs, get involved early doors as the restyled, immersive Palm Lounge beach bar will be buzzing with the best warm-up tunes, and providing suitably refreshing cocktails and a slider menu, complementary with the *Palm Lounge ADV ticket.

Visual countdowns, confetti cannons, mirror balls and a dress code in favour of hot Miami sleaze, Patterns is definitely the golden ticket for this NYE in Brighton. See you on the dancefloor…
