PEKING DUK – TAKE ME OVER

Having confirmed a collaboration with fellow Canberra-based comrade Ben Woolner-Kirkham of Safia back in May this year, the long-haired, ‘sweaty’ production duo responsible for one of the hottest tracks in Australian dance music finally drop the long-awaited results. Stream ‘Take Me Over’ by Peking Duk in its entirety now.

First heard when Ben joined the Peking Duk boys on stage for a live debut of the track at Groovin’ The Moo festival, fans have since faced an grueling five month wait for the full length single to be made available. Having reached high rotation within a week of its premiere on Triple J, it’s evident that the tasty twosome have scored yet another huge hit with ‘Take Me Over’. Captivating listeners from the opening beat, with ‘Take Me Over’ Adam and Reuben have created a harmonious balance between indie and electronica, perfectly complimenting Woolner-Kirkham’s blissful and highly-emotive vocals to create an uplifting and sophisticated soundscape that proves when it comes to production, these guys truly are at the top of their game.

Reaching unprecedented heights and earning themselves a rightful place in the spotlight earlier this year with the phenomenally successful ‘High’ (which has since achieved double platinum certification in their home country, gold in New Zealand, earned them their third consecutive ARIA Club Chart #1 and saw them pip Flume to the post to win Best Track/Remix at the InTheMix awards) Hyde and Styles are undoubtedly one of the hottest acts in the electronic music scene today. Fresh off the back of their first solo ‘Peace Love & Sweatiness’ tour, which saw the pair sell out every date across all major cities in Australia, the pair have recently signed a worldwide deal with Sony Music Entertainment (in partnership with RCA Records) which looks set to propel them to the international status they have long deserved.

Stay tuned for more gig announcements, as well as the incredible official video to ‘Take Me Over’ set for release in the coming weeks.
