Australia’s Pelvis Moves preaches his love for the dancefloor with new single ‘Pray’, out now on Club Sweat. Spending the last year craving unique sensation of being in a nightclub, the producer re-creates the feeling through the record’s full-bodied bassline, dark, gritty undertones, and acid tech elements and idiosyncratic vocal.
Pelvis Moves discusses the meaning behind the track, “in the dumpster fire that was 2020 my mind harked back to a time of joy and freedom. As I prayed for the salvation that only a dancefloor could provide me, I was reminded of the power of the nightclub and what it meant to me. I prayed to return to this holy temple. I yearned for it, and this song is an ode to that yearning.”
Pelvis Moves’ debut single ‘London Compton’ scored an array of support from BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM in the UK and locally, triple j Unearthed. The producer has also been backed by tastemakers such as Pete Tong, Jamie Jones, Anna Lunoe, Sofi Tukker, Riva Starr and The Aston Shuffle! In late 2020, Pelvis Moves dropped a sizzling remix of Yolanda Be Cool’s ‘To Be Alone’ via Lee Foss’s label Repopulate Mars. ‘Pray’ is the second offering from the Sydney artist, giving fans another taste of his dynamic electronic production style.
‘Pray’ is out now via Club Sweat.
