Pete Bones – Dwarf Nibbler

Next to contribute to the immaculate Superfreq cannon is Pete “The Shaker” Bones who gets backed up by remixes from Red Ant stable mate Zero The Hero as well as label regulars David Scuba and East LA Tek.

Englishman Pete Bones has long been a hot DJ and producer talent who has been in demand all over the world. His red Ant label has clocked up more than 100 releases and he himself has remixed and produced for a range of major as well as underground labels.

Inspired by a mushroom experience and techy Dixon set in South Africa, this new track was made using a combination of hardware and software and the results are suitably magical. ‘Dwarf Nibbler’ is tripped-out tech masterpiece with a bassline that teases and pleases as the track bobbles up and down in spacey and intergalactic fashion. It’s an infectious groove with oodles of texture and subtle sonic detail and one that builds to an intense and arresting peak that will rule dancefloors in the coming months.

First to remix is Zero The Hero aka another alias of Pete Bones. Under this guise, Bones ups the darkness and dystopian vibes in subtle ways, making it more suited to late nights and early mornings.

Next up, David Scuba is of course an integral part of the Superfreq family, not only as a revered and regular producer but also as a fine DJ resident at their global parties. His unique take on the track reforms it as a ghoulish, squelchy and full fat kicker with alien voices, lots of tension and spooky synth lines that remind us Halloween is just around the corner.

Last but not least, East LA Tek aka label boss Mr C and Detroit born DJ, producer, and Hypertone boss Noël Jackson follow up their solo debut back in spring with a stunning remix.  Things get stripped right back to the seductive, rubbery bassline and all sorts of curious percussive sounds and deep space pads make for a serene and cerebral groove that really captivates mind, body and soul.

This coming together of various dance music greats is another sure fire dancefloor hit in the making.
