Philanthropic Record Label ‘Lost on You’ creates ‘Forward’, the first distribution platform to help poor children
At the end of 2020 “Forward” was born, a digital music distribution platform designed to support Lost on You’s mission by giving the opportunity to all record labels that want to join and help Lost on You in building schools by distributing their music indirectly without sacrificing their money or their work.
For those not familiar with Lost on You’s mission, Lost on You is the first electronic record label and charity program that donates all money raised from album sales to help in the fight against malnutrition, health, and sanitation issues in the poorest areas of Africa.
They have recently built their first school in Sierra Leone and as of September 2021, the school has 207 children attending 5 days a week in 6 well-equipped classrooms.
Forward currently distributes more than 40 labels that have joined in making a positive contribution to a global problem that many choose to ignore every day.
Forward specializes in label management, where they work with their clients to provide as much support as needed, from scheduling, release strategy, pushing for feature placements, to license negotiation, compilation services, and accounting services.
Through Forward’s system, you can take control of all the financial data of your Record Label. The distribution platform also provides a very individual, personable service, supported by industry-leading real-time analytics and insights into sales and streams.
Forward also have a promotion system that allows you to quickly create and deliver pre-release promos to send to your industry contacts and monitor and export feedback as well as auto-share with artists involved with the release.
You can also automatically generate videos and playlists from your catalog and upload them to your YouTube or SoundCloud channel.
Both Forward and Lost on You believe that music can be used to do something great, breaking down the barriers of clubs, parties and reaching further afield to support families in need in the world’s poorest countries.
