Food Music’s second release of 2018 comes from Mad Villians & Dantiez.
American born, but now residing in the UK, Mad Villains is most known for his 2015 House hit ‘Pump It’ on Mexican house label Huster Trax. While his counterpart ‘Dantiez’ is the middle son of house legend Kevin Saunderson, but has had success in his own right, with releases on respected labels, such as Soma, Defected, and Nervous Records.
Title-track ‘Philosophy’ opens the release with bumpy kicks and clanking percussive chimes to create a dark warehouse inspired feel. ‘Insomnia’ follows where blissful birdsong meets contagious drums riding together alongside luscious chords and melodies.
Mad Villains & Dantiez’s ‘Philosophy’ EP is out on Food Music 16th February 2018.
