Barcelona based producer Piem returns to Green Velvet’s Relief Records with his ‘Morrysom’ EP this July.
Following a string of releases on the likes of Viva, Knee Deep in Sound, Too Many Rules and Armada Subjekt, Barcelona’s Piem returns to Relief Records having teamed up with Italy’s Mauro Venti to release the ‘Alarm’ EP in April. When not producing, Piem has performed at some of world’s biggest venues including Ibiza’s Amnesia, Miami’s Heart Nightclub and Air Amsterdam, alongside a longstanding residency with the infamous W Hotel which hosts Barcelona’s Wet Deck Parties, and here we see the Spanish talent reveal two fresh tracks in the form of his ‘Morrysom’ EP.
Kicking things off, ‘Morrysom’ combines frenzied robotic synths, layers of looped percussion and a zig-zagging bass groove, before filtered disco samples, distorted vocal snippets and punchy kicks amalgamate to form ‘Weekend Girl’, a cut designed to transport you to the dancefloor of a party in full swing.
Piem ‘Morrysom’ EP drops on Relief Records on 26th July 2019.
