Pier Jam Announces Part 2 – Return to Blackpool North Pier

Hot off the heels of its spectacular Bank Holiday Sunday event on 30th April, Pier Jam is delighted to announce the second instalment of its summer long series. Returning to the iconic Blackpool North Pier on Saturday 29th July, Pier Jam welcomes big hitters, Gorgon City, Shadowchild, Bugzy Malone, Mistajam, Redlight, Sonny Fodera, Josh Butler and Son of 8, to the bill across the outdoor stages delivering cuts of quality house, bass and garage music. From 2pm — 11pm stretched out to sea on the 500m long pier, Pier Jam has a vibe that's unmatchable for miles around and is not to be missed. Tickets go on sale on Monday 8th May at 10am on www.skiddle.com

Galloping through its third year of throwing board-shaking parties, Pier Jam will once again welcome 4,000 party people to cut loose under a warm sun in the open air, right by the sea. Known for their killer sound systems and always on-point bookings, these now famous all-day parties are nothing less than awe inspiring affairs, set against the stunning backdrop of the world famous Blackpool Tower. From Basement Jaxx to DJ E.Z and MK to Amine Edge & DANCE, Pier Jam stages big names and even bigger tunes.

A huge selection of contemporary house heavyweights all line-up for the event on Saturday 29th July, and leading proceedings from the Black Butter Label is chart topping and crossover star, Gorgon City. His tracks like 'Go All Night' and 'Zoom Zoom' have been everywhere in recent times and are sure to sound massive under the sun. Joining him is Pier Jam favourite, Shadowchild, to bring the big booty shaking drums and rib-rattling synth lines that have made him a Dirtybird and Edible favourite.

Manchester's much loved grime MC Bugzy Malone will also be on hand to drop some of his raw and edgy bars and plenty of the tracks he has put out on Ill Gotten Records, all of which have brought real freshness to the scene. Radio 1's urban boss MistaJam will also play with his usual eclectic mix of bass heavy, attitude-laced tunes. And bringing a different angle to the party is Redlight, the man behind huge hits on Lobster Boy like 'New Flows' and 'Here With Me'.

For some deep but uplifting vocal house, look no further than Sonny Fodera, one of the most prolific and accomplished producers of recent years. His releases on Defected have made him an in-demand remixer and have seen him work with legends like Green Velvet many times. Add in another Defected man of the moment in tech house titan Josh Butler and hot house pair Son of 8–who are both Pier Jam debutants–and you have a line-up that packs a real punch.

Presale tickets will be available to buy for £15 plus booking fee from 9am on Monday 8th May. To get this discounted price, clubbers must pre-register at www.skiddle.com/e/12968251. Standard tickets will follow with the on-sale time of 10am on Monday 8th May, starting at £20 + bf. For those wanting something extra, VIP tickets can be purchased for £35 + bf and come with the added bonuses of queue jump, access to the VIP arena for even more cutting-edge music, plus a private bar and toilets.

Anyone who loves house music and a unique all-day vibe to the party, should get on board with Pier Jam. To stay up to date with lineup and new events announcements, as well as competitions and access to pre-sale tickets, follow Pier Jam on Twitter https://twitter.com/pierjamuk
