After the very well received “Missing” EP supported by Joseph Capriati, Funk D’Void, Benjamin Damage, Stefan Weise, Temudo, Drumcomplex, Cristian Varela, Takaaki Itoh, Dj Tag and many more, Piotr Figiel enters 2022 with “White Lies” EP influenced by Detroit and minimal techno.
On this 4 tracker EP you will find a little lighter side of Piotr’s music – yet still dark, groovy, heavy textured and dance floor oriented.
The opening “White Lies” provides listeners with solid drums and groove sprinkled with house’y shuffle and surprising atmospheric breakdown. Rolling, dirty and filthy “The Message”, heavily infused with broken timbres, explores the darker and eerie side of club music.
Then the “Hm Ah Argh” and it’s anagram counterpart “Hgra Ha Mh” are both deep dives into minimal techno vibe, closing the EP with simple oldschool arrangements and evolving structures.
On the visual side, the EP is illustrated with beautiful photo taken by Polish artist Łukasz Brzeziński aka. Holzwege.
