Following huge interest from the UK, PiPfest, AKA Pikinik i Parken (Picnic in the Park) Norway’s most exciting boutique festival has announced specially discounted festival tickets exclusively for British festival fans.

Featuring a big-hitting line-up that includes New Order, The Streets, The 1975, Kurt Vile & the Violators, The Charlatans, Nils Frahm, Jungle, Metronomy and many more, organisers of the intimate, three-day Oslo-based event, which takes place from 13-15 June, have reacted to growing British enthusiasm by offering exclusively reduced rates on both day and weekend tickets.

PiPFest founder Peer Osmundsvaag commented: “Our number one priority has always been to create something that goes back to the roots of what a festival should be; a unique experience in fantastic settings. This year with New Order, The Streets, The 1975 and lots more amazing music, it’s our strongest ever line-up, we have a beautiful, brand new park to party in, and with so many people from the UK wanting to come to check us out, we’ve never been more excited about PiPfest. So, grab these specially priced tickets we’re offering just for you and enjoy Oslo and everything we have to offer!”

Now in its sixth year, 2019 sees PiPfest, relocate to a brand new venue, Sofienbergparken. Set in the north of Oslo, one of Europe’s fastest growing and friendliest cities, Sofienbergparken is a picturesque slice of Scandinavian beauty and unlike any of our homegrown festival sites. As you’d expect for an event called Picnic in the Park, besides an incredible music line-up PiPfest has some truly mouth-watering food and drink on offer in their new food area – Byløkken. And with a capacity of just 8,000 it’s the ideal event for intrepid festivalgoers who enjoy the close and personal vibe.

Running until 11pm each day from Thursday 13 June to Saturday 15 June, PiPfest is a non-camping event but there are venues right across Oslo continuing the festivities into the night. The specially discounted PiPfest weekend festival ticket costs 1250 NOK which works out at just £110, while discounted day tickets are 535 NOK or £47.00. Festivalgoers will need to arrange their own flights and accommodation. Connections fly regularly from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead and Manchester. Promoters recommend the Comfort Xpress Central Station for accommodation.
