Turbo Recordings is proud to present the definitive collection of remixes for “Planet E,” Tiga’s collaboration with Hudson Mohawke from this years No Fantasy Required LP. In fact, we’re so proud and excited that we’re going to jump straight into blow-by-blow track descriptions while the passion’s hot.
Hypercolour label boss Alex Jones and Chris Spero (aka Glimpse) deliver what can responsibly be called one of the year’s biggest chart-topping smash remixes. This Dense & Pika remix was also released on Counter Records as part of Tiga’s album deal, so at worst you have a spare copy for your bomb shelter.
We have been trying to get Miami-based producer Danny Daze on the label for years, and this remix is the closest we’ve gotten so far. Sometimes life is about compromise, and if you get enough future-italo-electro hits like this one you may be lucky enough to forget what you wanted in the first place.
Don’t you ever dare say that Turbo doesn’t care about young UK producers. Until you stop for good, we’ll keep tapping talents like Melé, whose love of Brazilian beats, classic house tracks, and trans-Atlantic hip-hop shine through on this mix. But while genre checklists are great and vital and exciting and so much of the reason we do what we do, it’s the music that’s the pudding you’ll find your proof in.
The whole remix package is going to be dropped on the 28th October on Turbo Recordings, featuring both unreleased Melé and Danny’s remixes as well as the Dense & Pika Remix collectively together on an exclusive 12” vinyl.
