Playa Magenta is a music project created in Mexico City in 2011. The band explores the instruments used in traditional mexican music with a new approach.
Harp with sonic processing, Electric Violin and Midi Marima along with lyrics based on the traditional son from Verucruz such as the Cuarteta and Sexteta.
Now, Playa Magenta releases their first album entitled “Amaranto” which compiles ten tracks produced by Hernan Hecht, award winning drummer and producer.
The art of the CD was designed by the talented mexican artist Leonardo Tezcucano (Ilya Kuriaky).
