Polaris announces 2017 line-up: December 7-10 in Switzerland
Polaris returns to Verbier from 7 – 10 December 2017 with another pool of unexpected and astonishing headliners. The Festival’s third edition program is a mix of house legends, essential names, electronic newcomers and Swiss talents, and is a vibrant tribute to black music.
During four days, more then 40 artists spread over six stages will rock the ski resort of Verbier. The main stage (Le Mouton Noir), is a magical place located at an altitude of 2’200 m with an amazing view on the Swiss Alps. The American scene will be particularly well represented. Headliners include Larry Heard aka Mr. Fingers for the very first time in Switzerland (Live set); Russian music icon Nina Kraviz next to Chicago house legend Virgo Four performing live, Derrick May, Detroit techno music pioneer, Kenny Dope, one-half of the legendary house duo “Masters At Work”, Luciano and Seth Troxler. A premiere in Switzerland, the FXHE label head and Detroit guru-head Omar-S, the Romanian duo of Raresh and Praslea (a.k.a. Praslesh) and the incredible Derrick Carter with his trademark “does disco” show.
Adding to this exciting line up, Polaris has also invited established DJs such as Gerd Janson and Job Jobse alongside electronic newcomers like Young Marco, William Djoko, and Leon Vynehall.
The Swiss section of the program also holds many surprises with artists like Andre Rozzo, Kalabrese, Sandro Kuhne and the famous duo Mirko Loko & Ripperton (allias Lazy Fat People). After 10 years, the duo gets together again at Polaris for an exclusive b2b one “one shot”!
