Multi-instrumentalist and composer Laszlo (aka Aaron Wheeler) is back with the eagerly anticipated single ‘Press Start’, having spent the last few years releasing music and enjoying success with his band Lydian Collective. His unique signature sound, which is rooted in a love of memorable melodies, rich harmony and complex rhythms has earned him new fans from across the globe generating millions of streams on You Tube and Spotify (with ‘Mr Sunshine’ alone reaching over 1 million streams). Laszlo has also enjoyed previous support and plays from taste makers Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 1), Nick Luscombe (BBC Radio 3) and Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) to name a few.
‘Press Start’ is a perfect re-introduction to The Laszlo Project, with a huge live sound, drawing from influences of Jazz fusion style harmonies and Afro-Beat rhythms through to , electronica and ambient soundscapes. It features a number of special guest appearances from a wide variety of new musical collaborators – including live drums, brass section and a vocal choir. Aaron also introduces some of his more obscure world/folk instruments to this release, including the saz and the lyre.
