Alexis Raphael returns to the AVOTRE label with his brand new four track EP‘Purple Jackets’. The EP opens with title track ‘Purple Jackets’, which incorporates an invigorating blend of vocal and melodic phrases, with forceful and well placed heavier sections. This track is an excellent showcase of Alexis Raphael’s versatile production abilities.
 
The second track on the release is another Alexis Raphael original, titled‘Black’. This track is immediately engaging. Alexis uses a myriad of catchy synths and intriguing vocal samples from the start and throughout. The results; a track that could be rinsed on repeat with listeners discovering something new every time. 
 
Alexis Raphael enlisted the production skills of Sirus Hood and Mele in order to provide remixes for this EP. Sirus Hood craftily remixed ‘Purple Jackets’, creating a somewhat eerie version with a slightly less bass-heavy feel but with just as much impact. Mele adds his own flair to ‘Black’, stripping the track to its foundations and creating an exciting version that is sure to delight dance floors.
