A Sunday Evening of Beautiful Music at Folklore Hoxton
Following on from their packed-out Launch Party with London’s celebrated singer, Vanessa Freeman in May, Sunday soiree, Quintessential House, celebrates Chicago House Music with a Special Guest DJ set from Frankie Knuckles chosen opening DJ, Elbert Phillips. Currently featured in the new Faith Magazine Frankie Knuckles tribute issue, Elbert joins London clubbing pioneer resident DJs Jazzi Q from the Soul II Soul collective & Colourful Radio and Quaff Records/Totally Wired/WeOutHereFestival’s Roy The Roach on Sunday June 2nd.
Celebrating all things Frankie Knuckles and Chicago, Special Guest DJ, Elbert Phillips, was hand-picked by the godfather of house to open his parties. Part of Faith Magazine’s new Frankie Knuckles tribute issue, Elbert recently re-worked Frankie’s classic “Tears” anthem and will be raising the vibrations on the dance floor.
From the heady days of their iconic club night, “Dance Wicked”, Jazzi Q and Roy The Roach celebrate their huge love of music at this organic monthly Sunday soiree at Shoreditch’s eclectic, Folklore.
Kicking off at 6pm and running through till 11.30pm, finish off the weekend dancing and hanging out, soundtracked by multi-layered house grooves on one of the friendliest dance floors in the capital, which also boasts a stellar Sound System, relaxing seating and outside smoking space.
