Danny Howard - Radio 1’s Dance Anthems Ibiza 20 Years

Off the back of BBC Radio 1 announcing their huge 20th anniversary of BBC Radio 1 in Ibiza this August, the official 20th Anniversary Dance Anthems Ibiza Compilation is now set for release, mixed by their very own Danny Howard. 

As part of the nation’s most influential radio station’s 20th anniversary and to mark the occasion, Danny Howard has been chosen to piece together an incredible 3 mix masterpiece detailing the history of the white Isle up to the present day. This is BBC Radio 1’s Dance Anthems Ibiza 20 Years.

Not content with providing just two mixes this time around, Danny has handpicked the biggest tracks from the world’s most famous party destination and pieced together 3 epic mixes. We kick off with a selection of future hits set to be huge on the island this year including tracks from DJ S.K.T., Denney and Duke Dumont before we embark on a journey through some of the biggest names in dance music today including huge anthems from Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Disclosure. Last but not least we tip our hats to the pioneers of the scene including influential artists such as Frankie Knuckles, The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim.

BBC Radio 1’s dance music tastemakers Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Danny Howard have all been announced to host one night each for the 20th anniversary Radio 1 in Ibiza Weekend, bringing with them the biggest names in dance music across three different venues. 

Bang in the middle of the weekend, on Saturday 1st August, Danny will host a four-hour event on San Antonio’s sunset strip, broadcast live on Radio 1 from 6 to 10pm (UK time) and will feature performances from the hottest and freshest names in dance music on the biggest weekend of the Ibiza season. Chart toppers Rudimental and Duke Dumont are joined by the legendary Erick Morillo with further appearances from the Grammy award winning Gregory Porter, Blonde and  Redlight.
