28th January 2019 sees rising techno DJ/producer Alex Stein team up with the mysterious Blackroof to deliver their debut ‘Radium’ EP on Sian’s established Octopus Black Label.
Alex Stein has been making music for over a decade and, in recent times, has risen to become one of underground techno’s most exciting names. The Brazilian-born German-based artist boasts releases on imprints such as Suara, Great Stuff, Sincopat, Hydrozoa, Senso Sounds and Filth on Acid amongst many others and is now back with one of his finest collaboration offerings to date.
The essential 2-track EP is kicked off by title track, ‘Radium’, which sets the tone of the release with its dark atmospheric textures, pulsating dancefloor-ready groove and twisted synth melodies. Next up, ‘Lithium’ continues the pace, delivering another seductive slice of dark melodic techno with its pounding rhythm track, distorted acid-tinged synth line and dramatic suspense effects to conclude the EP in style.
Alex Stein & Blackroof ‘Radium’ EP is available exclusively via Beatport and Spotify on 28th January 2019 and everywhere else two weeks later.
