Raw Underground serve up a dual offering of refreshing house cuts for their Déepalma Soul debut

European duo Raw Underground are making an impressive mark on the global dance music scene. Releases on W&O Street Tracks, Salted Music, Madhouse and many more have paved a deserved path to their debut on our label this year. ‘Smoothy / Weisslacker’ is a revitalising two-track package full of bright melodies, firm grooves and commanding vocal lines throughout.

‘Smoothy’ opens the release with a driving concoction of drums and cadent percussive elements whilst a sturdy electronic bassline adds movement and character to the mix. Alongside the pronounced low-frequency sounds that carry the record forwards, it is laced with a soulful blend of uplifting keys and striking vocal cuts that bring even more character and flair – completing a gripping dancefloor record full of life and energy.

‘Weisslacker’ follows with an instant vocal impact before diving into Deep House flavours via hooking bassline and striking chords. The track’s progression glides effortlessly through different scenes, using rides, altering scales, string breakdowns, snare fills and more. An undeniably creative and old-school feeling track with plenty of dancefloor appeal from end to end.

‘Smoothy/Weisslacker’ is out now on all major platforms on Déepalma Soul.
