As one final foray into the most excellent “Rebirth” album from our Madrid based pal Rayko. Nightology was always a highlight on the album and although it may have taken us some time the remixes are well worth a listen. First up we head off to Italy for the Stone Funk Collective re-rub. This version comes with a classic Nang sound. Big sounds, Big beats moving pads and chords and a nu-disco groove to die for.
Next up our new friend Moon Mood takes things in an 80s direction. The pads, beats and grooves make it sound like a 1985 John Hughes movie soundtrack (in a good way!). Then we take a detour to Austria to hook up with long time Nangster DJ Enne (he was there right at the beginning with us, check it out!). He jazzes things up with his chunky dancefloor groover.
To round off the EP we also include the solidly funky and stabby Savage Disco as a bonus treat. We take one final sneak peak into the fabulous world of Rayko via the lens of Parisian based Hipsters Venice Beach.. they take the Balearic album opener track “Into The Cave” into a dance floor direction.
